I really dislike the big Quicken upgrade from 2007. So I am wondering what Quicken 2007 users are thinking about this, and what alternatives they are considering, if any at this time.

I’m assuming that means I just don’t upgrade the next Mac OS X, but that will work for only so many years. It says we can continue to use it, but we should be aware that the product may stop working if Apple removes legacy technology, which Apple has warned will happen in a future version of Mac OS X. Secondly, Quicken is announcing that when Quicken 2017 releases, the Quicken customer care team will no longer support quicken 2007. Mainly, I am asking if others have had problems with this version. I can do it opening up another report-a quick report. Basically, I can’t open the subcategory reports. I tried several times, and it opened once, but I could not open it again. On the computer I upgraded, I am having a very hard time getting cursor to open a sub category. These kinds of reports are critical for me, e.g., professional expenses. Then I could put the cursor over one subcategory, sum, say of groceries, and it turns into a magnifying glass icon and I click it, and it would open another window with all the groceries for that period.
Here is the problem I’m having: I upgraded on one computer, and I have trouble, now, when I make a report on quicken, say of category sum of last year, I get the report. It looks like there really isn’t anything I need, but I’m wondering whether to upgrade. There is an new version of Quicken 2007 (the version that works on El Captitan).

Quicken 2007 has a new version, and I am wondering about it. She's using Quicken 2007 with El Capitan and emailed me a few questions to run by the forum. Last Spring this forum saved the day for a friend by enabling her to still use Quicken with her newer OS Macs.
